ABOUT US
David M. Poole
“There’s got to be a point at which someone says, ‘Enough is enough!’ and that’s where great music begins.”
-David M. Poole
David M. Poole (a.k.a. D. POOLE) is one of those rare individuals who understands the effect music has on the human psyche. A self-proclaimed goofball, this former child psychologist, turned music executive, has a reputation for turning new artists into stars. While working with children
early in his career, he recognized how vast the heart and mind truly are, and how they work seamlessly together when a beautiful piece of music is played. Through his ever-changing love affair with music, Poole combines sophistication, intrigue, and substance into every song he produces or oversees.
Known for his meticulous attention to detail and aggressive style of displaying talent, Poole has developed quite the resume working with today’s superstars. Seeing first-hand the desperation that has engulfed the music industry with lackluster performances, marketing strategies, and fair contracts for artists, he and his two business partners have started ARIGO RECORDINGS. Poole believes ARIGO RECORDINGS is the consumer response to an industry that has forgotten what great music should sound like.
David Jones
This self taught multiinstrumentalist/producer has music royalty running through his veins. As cousin to multiple GRAMMY winner, Kenneth ‘Babyface’ Edmonds, David Jones was playing music before he could talk. Born in Indiana, yet raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Jones spent most of his childhood and teens performing in small bands and singing groups. Sending rough recordings of his music to his cousin got him chance opportunities to sit in on sessions with today’s superstar entertainers during Christmas and summer breaks. After graduating high school, Jones took his love for music and writing to college and majored in Music Composition. While pursing his degree, Jones began studying music production and constructing material for classmates and local musicians. After developing quite the list of prominent indie acts on his resume while still in college, Jones decided to start his own production company after graduation. Once graduated, Jones met David Poole while working with a mutual client. The two David’s hit it off instantly, and established ARIGO RECORDINGS on David M. Poole’s coffee table with nothing more than lined paper and a mutual love for music.
